Refund policy

Effective date: May 2, 2026

Summary

All redemptions are final. We do not offer returns or refunds for change of mind. The only exceptions are for products that arrive defective or for orders where we shipped the wrong item.

1. No returns; no refunds for change of mind

Gift codes redeemed on giftedshades.com are final. Because each code is paid for by the issuing business and provided to the recipient at no charge, we do not accept returns or issue refunds based on personal preference, fit, color, style, or any other change-of-mind reason.

2. Defective product

If your product arrives defective, you may request an exchange for an identical replacement. Your request must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the program start date.

To request an exchange:

  1. Email hello@giftedshades.com with the subject line “Defective product — [your order number].”
  2. Include your order number, a description of the defect, and clear photos showing the issue.
  3. We may ask you to return the defective item before we ship a replacement. If we do, we will provide a prepaid return label.

Once we confirm the defect, we will ship a replacement at no cost to you. If an identical replacement is not available, we will work with you and the issuing business to substitute an equivalent item or, where appropriate, void the redemption so the code can be re-issued.

3. Wrong item shipped

If we shipped the wrong item, you may request the correct item. Your request must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the program start date.

The process is the same as for defective products: email hello@giftedshades.com with your order number, a description of what arrived versus what was expected, and photos. We will arrange the exchange at no cost to you.

4. Damaged in transit

Products that arrive visibly damaged are treated the same as defective products under Section 2. Please keep all original packaging and photograph the damage as soon as you open the shipment.

5. What is not covered

This policy does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, accident, normal wear and tear, or modification after delivery;
  • Personal preference (color, style, fit);
  • Requests submitted after the 30-day window has passed;
  • Items returned without prior authorization from Gifted Shades

6. No cash refunds; no cash value

Gift codes have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, and cannot be exchanged for any other product or store credit. Where an exchange is approved under this policy, the remedy is replacement of the same or substantially similar item — not a refund.

7. Business customer refunds

Refunds for the underlying program purchase (paid by the business that bought the program) are governed by the order or program agreement between Gifted Shades and that business, not by this policy.
